Decorate a mini tote bag
Tataki-zomé is also known as 'flower pounding' or 'plant bashing. ' This process uses plants to create a print onto material like fabric or thick paper. It has been used by artists from Japan for many years and is now something that artists around the world have explored in their own ways.
Join artist Philippa Day and discover how to use natural dyes to decorate a mini tote bag.
Philippa is hugely inspired by her surroundings, particularly, the National Forest where she is based. Her love of colour shines through in all her designs, and wide range of materials including devoré velvet, which she hand-dyes and prints in her studio, based in South Derbyshire.
