VR Demonstration

Is it possible to take a walk in the forest without ever leaving your living room? Derbyshire based multi-award-winning immersive artist John Whall demonstrates how VR (Virtual Reality) can be used to showcase Derbyshire’s natural environments and the objects crafted from the materials sourced in the region.

This presentation is a starting point for a larger experience celebrating Derbyshire’s craft heritage and the artist welcomes conversation about the craft stories yet to be told in VR.

John is a Digital Participation Artist, Curator and Producer using digital tools and materials to creatively engage audiences through collaborative and co-creative processes, with a focus on creating together.
