Derek Harbinson is a Derbyshire-based ceramicist who was a contestant on season 6 of The Great Pottery Throwdown. The vast majority of Derek’s work is thrown on the wheel, either as single pieces such as bowls or vases, or as multiple pieces that are then assembled. He takes inspiration from a 1970s childhood, imagined civilisations and space travel, all bound up with mid-century style and often some fun.
