Mycelium Network Stop Motion Animation Workshop

Youth Landscapers are a group of young people from the National Forest area working with artists to explore and share the landscape’s industrial past and forest future through creative projects.

We'll be sharing the process behind our animations for ‘The Underneath,’ an immersive installation we produced in 2022 inspired by fungi and mycelium.

Kris, Alfie and Jeff will show you how we combine the lo-fi doodle with digital photography and editing software to imagine the networks of fungi that connect the natural world. Whether you join for five minutes or stay for the duration, come and enjoy a doodle, learn about the process of stop motion animation, and chat with us about fungi, nature and our creative process.

The animation created on the Saturday will be on display in the Glaze Room on Sunday 27 April.

Youth Landscapers Collective is a group of young people aged 13-23 from the National Forest area who explore and share the landscape’s industrial past and forest future through creative projects.
