Join us for an inspiring online conversation exploring our connections to nature

Join us for an inspiring online conversation featuring Cora Glasser of Glassball Studio (lead artist for MAKE Room), Feimatta Conteh (Sustainability Manager at Arts Council England), and Lucy Bird (dancer, facilitator, healer, and sustainability professional). The conversation will be chaired by Claire Tymon, Creative Director of Derbyshire Makes.

Together we'll explore our connections to nature, the powerful role art and culture play in deepening these relationships, and the unique contributions women make in the world of art, craft, and sustainability.

About Our Guests:

Cora Glasser leads Glassball Studio’s MAKE Room, a roaming art initiative that invites communities to engage with sustainable materials and explore local environmental practices.

Feimatta Conteh is dedicated to embedding sustainability in the arts through her work at the Arts Council England.

Lucy Bird facilitates NatureDance workshops, helping individuals cultivate deeper connections with themselves and the natural world through movement and meditation. She is also a project manager for Derbyshire Dales Community Energy.

What to Expect:

✔ Insight into MAKE Room’s vision for connecting communities to local landscapes and sustainable practices✔ A discussion about how art and culture can foster deeper connections with nature✔ Exploration of how we can create inclusive spaces for women and young people to contribute to sustainability✔ An open conversation about creativity, community participation, and building a shared sustainable future

Whether you're an artist, maker, community leader, or simply passionate about creativity, sustainability, and elevating women’s voices in the arts, this event is your opportunity to engage, connect, and be inspired.
